How does kripalu yoga work?
Regular Classes: Classes begin with centering, releasing the neck and spine.

Most back pain is caused by poor posture, faulty body mechanics and weak back musculature, which are the result of a lifetime of habits formed as we go about our daily routine. Most of what we do is in front of us; therefore we develop tightness in areas that pull us backward.

Correcting posture, following good body mechanics and strengthening your back with Yoga can eliminate back pain.

All classes include warm ups  followed by Asanas (yoga postures). Time is also given to Pranayama (breathing) before savasana (relaxation) and meditation.

A Reiki treatment
The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is a very simple process. The recipient simply lies on a couch and relaxes. If they are unable to lie down the treatment can be given in a sitting position, the main thing is for the recipient to be as comfortable as possible.

There is no need to remove any clothing, as Reiki will pass through anything, even plaster casts. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions that cover the whole body. The whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms.
